This project is hosted by Booker Talk and is about broadening our reading
horizons.
Goal:
Read books by authors from 50 different countries of the world within five years.
Though it is going to be different to limit the full country list to only 50, I need to find so way to do so: either I should go through the continents or just check what books I have available and get along with that.
Read books by authors from 50 different countries of the world within five years.
Though it is going to be different to limit the full country list to only 50, I need to find so way to do so: either I should go through the continents or just check what books I have available and get along with that.
The Rules:
- Books set in a particular country will not count towards this challenge. The book has to be written by an indigenous author.
- Authors have to have been born or lived in the particular country to count but could be living elsewhere
- Clock starts Jan 1, 2017. Finishes Dec 31, 2022
So after some thinking I could not find any reasonable way to limit the countries to 50 only, and I decided to go from book to book. In the beginning, I take the easy way and hope it will not be considered as cheating: I will read books and see what countries the author from and add them to the list.
