Sunday Post #41, Windy

The Sunday Post is hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received, and share news about what is coming up on the blog for the week ahead. To get in on the Sunday fun, see the rules here: Sunday Post Meme.

Outside the Blog
This week the weather has just been horrible. It is already warm, but because of the strong wing there is no chance to enjoy it. Every time I was outside, I was checking everything that can eventually break and fall over me.
I have finished Jo Nesbo children series Doctor Proctor and liked it, mostly because it was a funny read with lots of references to pop-music, history, football, etc. that made it entertaining to read for an adult.
This Friday I went to Captain Marvel (2019) and enjoyed it thoroughly))) I went with low expectation and was surprised. Of course, there were low points and jokes that missed the point, but altogether it was fast and entertaining and I loved how they connected all the future lines with the Avengers. It was like a quest to find links to the rest of Marvel Universe.

  1. The weather has been wonky everywhere. It froze last week and today it's too warm to go without air conditioning! Crazy.

I've created a linky on my blog for the Sunday Salon and I've kept the Facebook group. I hope you will join in and spread the word.

  3. I can't find anyone to go see Captain Marvel with me so I'll wait until it becomes available on streaming. That wind sounds crazy. We get these straight line winds that you can hear coming. Scary stuff!

  11. I need to catch up on movies quick if I am going to Captain Marvel. I hope to watch at least one today but I always seem to have so much to do other than tv or movies. At least at home I can knit while I watch. The weather is FINALLY better this week, sunny and warm, but next week will be colder than usual again. Have a lovely week. Anne - Books of My Heart

  12. We had some strong winds here too and rain. It's not super cold, but the wind sure makes it feel cold. I hope the weather improves soon.

I watched a few Marvel movies recently, but miss the interconnecting things as I am not familiar with most of the universe. Good to know you enjoyed the Captain Marvel movie.
