Description: Library Loot is a weekly event that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.

I got 1 books from the library this week for my Classics and Russian literature challenge.

1. Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak
Dr. Yury Zhivago, Pasternak's alter ego, is a poet, philosopher, and physician whose life is disrupted by the war and by his love for Lara, the wife of a revolutionary. His artistic nature makes him vulnerable to the brutality and harshness of the Bolsheviks. The poems he writes constitute some of the most beautiful writing featured in the novel.

  2. Doctor Zhivago sounds like a fascinating read. I know growing up the movie was considered a big deal, although I haven't seen it.

  3. I honestly don't know how you are doing all those challenges. I would never keep up with all those, but you seem to be doing quite well! I have not read Doctor Zhivago yet, but I might be reading Anna Karenina for my IRL classics book club finally. When I went to Russia, I became obsessed with Pushkin. On a different note, what are your thoughts The Great Alone? I keep hearing mixed reviews, but I am still planning on reading it this year. Here is my WWW if interested: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2019/02/27/www-wednesdays-february-27-2019/
